The interactive map of Europe provides a systematic classification of national legislative frameworks in each country. It reflects the positive law in force (lex lata). It does not constitute an assessment, interpretation, or evaluation of judicial practice, case law, or the application of the law by national courts or other adjudicatory bodies.
The classification has been carried out by a network of volunteer experts, in accordance with a uniform methodology, identical to that applied in the preparation of the corresponding map for the United States.
For each country, the national expert group provides:
- an English translation of the applicable statutory provisions, and
- an explanatory overview and legal commentary on the legislative framework.
ICSP is proud to present the european shared parenting report card.
